Raise Your Winch

by Bruce Landolt

I noticed that the winch was pulling downward on the Bow eye. As the rear of the boat settled onto the bunks it put an awful strain on everything, and the cable stretched or pulled tighter around the winch roller, and the boat almost always moved back. So I simply raised the winch 4", and it made a great difference. So far it has held the boat to the V rubber all four times I have pulled the boat out.
