I tore up the cockpit threshold when redoing the teak and came up with this. It's a piece of mahogany from an old award's plaque. I had to replace the screw head winch bolts with bolt heads. Note the gap for tool access. On hindsight, I should have extended the threshold to cover the entire step. It does make a good cockpit seat with the right cushion.
