This page describes:
- Why I added a new switch panel
The original panel was located in an area which was subject to salt water corrosion. Several wires and switches were no longer useable.
- Where it is installed
I relocated a new 12 volt panel to the aft cabin bulkhead on the starboard side, just inside the companion way. I used two six rocker switch fuse panels. These are mounted to a box mounted to the bulkhead. The box has a removeable panel for easy access to the wires. Inside are two buss bars. One for negative wires and one for positive wires. Extra fuses are stored inside the box. The old switch panel is still in its original location. I plan to eventually remove the original panel and glass over the hole.
- Where I purchased the materials necessary
All electrical supplies were purchased from the local West Marine. I used all pre-tinned wires.
